Rental Policies & Procedures
How are rental charges calculated?
All rental charges are based on time out, not time used. That means the rental clock starts when the equipment leaves our facility (or is delivered), not when it’s first operated.
What’s included in the rental rate?
Rental rates typically cover a defined number of usage hours per rental period. Most equipment is priced by the day, week, or month, with specific hour limits.
Rental Hour Limits:
½ Day: Up to 4 machine hours
Full Day: Up to 8 machine hours (24 hours out)
Weekly: Up to 40 machine hours
Monthly: Up to 160 machine hours
Overtime is billed at $40.00 per additional hour.
When and how do I pay for a rental?
Payment is due in advance of the rental period. We accept most major payment methods. Equipment will not be released or delivered until payment is received.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled rental time to avoid a $40.00 cancellation fee. If weather prevents equipment use, you must contact us to delay or reschedule the rental. We’re happy to work with you when conditions change.
Do I need insurance?
Yes. Customers are responsible for ensuring equipment against theft, vandalism, and physical damage during the rental period. Tool Time Rental LLC assumes no liability once equipment is in your possession.
What if equipment is returned damaged or excessively dirty?
Any damage resulting from negligence or misuse will be billed to the renter. Equipment that requires excessive cleanup will incur a minimum fee of $25 or $50/hour for labor. Tire damage is also the renter’s responsibility.

What is your fuel policy?
Some equipment—such as Bobcats, mini excavators, and walk-behind loaders, includes a full tank of fuel with the rental. For all other equipment, renters must refuel before returning the unit. A fuel surcharge may apply for items returned without adequate fuel.
